The Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni feud doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon. What started as petty rumors about two stars butting heads on the set of a film very quickly took a turn when their conflicts entered the courts and their evidence was left for the world to see.
What makes the matter all the more complicated is that Lively and Baldoni aren’t the only ones involved in the mess. Ryan Reynolds, publicity teams, Wayfarer Studios, and several publicists have also been dragged into the courts, causing many parties to require insight.
Amid all the conversations and controversy, many have wondered if Marvel Studios will also sue Lively and Reynolds. The answer is quite simple.
Why would Marvel Studios sue Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds?

That is when Ryan Reynolds enters the picture. As reported by Variety, Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman sent a litigation hold letter to Kevin Feige and Bob Iger, asking them to preserve all documents they had relating to ‘Nicepool,’ a character played by Reynolds in Deadpool & Wolverine.
Baldoni’s team seems to think that the character was crafted with the sole purpose of mocking him. While this might seem like a stretch to many, his comment in the film about ‘Lady Pool,’ voiced by Lively, seems to really put things into perspective.

An official Marvel project has been involved in their drama, and Baldoni is insinuating that Reynolds let a conflict between Lively and Baldoni enter the film. Marvel would easily have a valid reason to sue Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. Fans have been wondering about this ever since the news of ‘Nicepool.’ There is no denying that if the superhero company entered a legal battle, the stakes would increase drastically.
However, there has been no report of Marvel suing Lively and Reynolds, even in rumors. While the studio has fought many legal battles in the past, this seems to be one they are not a part of.
At the same time, there is no way of telling if this decision will stay permanent or change over time. Although some might argue that what Reynolds allegedly did was not okay and that Marvel should retaliate, he is also playing a very important character in the franchise.
Marvel is finally looking at some improvement in their numbers, and Deadpool, as a character, will play a very important role in the future of the franchise. He is also a fan favorite, and enough evidence shows that Marvel fans do not care much about Reynolds’ legal troubles. With this, it seems unlikely that the franchise will sue.
