The seven-year-old has strong form behind Ballyburn and Firefox and won a Punchestown maiden hurdle by nine lengths.
Both were backed for the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle on Friday – a race Mullins already has odds-on fav Kopek Des Bordes for.
Irancy was hammered into as short as 14-1 having been as big as 25-1 yesterday.
While the money for Kiss Will saw his price contract into 14s too having also been as big as 25-1 the day before.
The market moves suggest Closutton boss Mullins is narrowing down his team for the first race of the Festival – which has been renamed The Michael O’Sullivan Supreme Novices’ Hurdle in honour of the jockey who died earlier this month aged 24.
Mullins also has long-time ante-post fav Salvator Mundi for the 2m novice contest, usually run at breakneck pace.
For ages he looked Mullins’ best hope until Kopek Des Bordes forced tears from his owners with his amazing Dublin Racing Festival win.
Irancy has raced just four times in his life, with a win and a third in France before moving to Mullins.
Every McManus runner has to be respected at the Festival – while Kiss Will is owned by powerful connections too.
The HOS Syndicate will look to go back-to-back in the County with Absurde.
While they also have the fancied Ethical Diamond for that race too.
