Cleaning queen Lynsey Crombie has amazed fans by sharing a game-changing laundry trick in a recent video.

She revealed how you can refresh your clothes effortlessly with a simple trick.

In the video shared to her TikTok, Lynsey films her tumble dryer and explains: “Did you know that most heat pump tumble dryers have a refresh setting?

“The cycle is around 20 minutes long and will remove odours, creases, and refresh.

“Perfect to use when clothes haven’t been worn for too long or if clothes have been in storage.”

On Lynsey’s tumble dryer, the special button was found on the numbered list of options.

This will ultimately help you keep on top of your laundry load, as you won’t have to do as many washes.

The video, which was shared to her 141k TikTok followers, had many cleaning fans rush to the comments section to share their thoughts.

One wrote: “My mind is blown.”

Someone else asked: “Any tips for getting antiperspirant stains out of T-shirts and so on?”

To which Lynsey replied: “Yes, rub washing-up liquid before adding to the wash.”

Others simply posted their praise and thanks for the video.

We previously revealed how there is also a secret button on your washing machine that can help to unlock the door when it’s full of water and won’t open.

Lutterworth electrician Max shared a clever washing machine hack that is helping people rescue their laundry when their machine gets stuck mid-cycle.

Posting on his TikTok page, @maxelectricalsimon, Max explained: “We’ve had two customers come in this morning, both of whose washing machines have got stuck mid-cycle and it’s half full with water and they can’t get their washing out.”

To help others facing the same issue, he demonstrated a step-by-step fix.

First, he suggests opening the drain cover, where you’ll find a small black tab. Using a flathead screwdriver, pull it down.

“This then will unlock the door, meaning now it can be opened,” Max says.

“However, not all machines have this feature. In that case, he offers a few alternative solutions.

“So what you’ll find is on some brands of machines, they don’t actually have anything you can unlock.

“But there’s a couple of things you can still do.

“First of all, real simple, you can try unplugging it or turn it off, wait about 10 seconds and then turn it back on again.

Men VS Women: Who Puts the Work In?

Men spend 7 hours 54 minutes a week cleaning.

Women spend 12 hours 15 minutes a week cleaning.

“It is also worth checking that it is not on child lock, disabling all the buttons.

“Normally there’s a little button with a key, pressing all that for normally two seconds and then it unlocks and it works again.”

“If the machine is still stuck and full of water, manually draining it could help.

“What we’re gonna do is drain it and normally draining it unlocks it because then the sensors realise that the water’s gone below the line, allowing the door to then hopefully unlock.”

He warns that this can be messy, so he advises having a tray and plenty of towels on hand.

Max continues: “The water will then drain out; you’ll probably have a lot more than this.

“Now that’s drained, that should hopefully be able to unlock.”
