John, 58, has admitted that there is no space for him in the chat show market anymore and had branded it “congested” thanks to programmes from Jonathan Ross and Graham Norton.
Speaking to the Daily Star, John said: “I’m not going to do another series of my chat show. It was great to do, but I found that I was competing in a space that was congested.
“Graham Norton is brilliant at it and Jonathan Ross is brilliant at it. We really don’t need another chat show.”
The John Bishop Show made its debut in January 2022 and it ran for two series until February 2023.
No further series of the programme ever aired and now John has confirmed it is gone for good.
