‘Is she for real’, cry RTE First Dates Ireland viewers as contestant shocked after match reveals his age

RTE First Dates Ireland viewers were all left saying the same thing as a contestant was shocked by her date’s age.

Tanya, 25, moved to Dublin from Ukraine during the war and was looking for someone “important” to share her life with on tonight’s episode.

Tanya and Lloyd agreed to a second date[/caption]

She met up with mathematician Lloyd, 23, from Cork.

Tanya was taken back when she heard Llyod was two years younger than her and said: “Oh my god, so young. You look older.”

She jokingly said she was like a “sugar mammy”.

The pair spoke about wanting babies and Tanya made Lloyd take a video of her for her “future kids”.

They were a match made in heaven and Tanya even said she felt like she was talking to “a mirror”.

RTE viewers were all in disbelief at Tanya’s concern over Lloyd’s age.

Siobhan said: “Jaysus thought she as 10 years older the way she went on! Only two years.”

Lisa tweeted: “Stop it! Two years, hilarious.”

Marioska remarked: “Is she for real? Two years older and suddenly she’s a granny.”

Elsewhere tonight, charmer, joker and landscape gardener Julian, 75, from Dublin returned to the restaurant after six years.

He positively bloomed in the company of highly cultured speech and drama teacher Rani, 66, from Kildare, who had been single for 20 years.

As they bonded over a shared love of dogs (Rani has two Rottweilers) Julian performed a full-body impression of a Springer Spaniel, complete with wagging tail!

Julian told Rani how much he “loves” women and said he’s “very romantic”.

Unfortunately it wasn’t enough for Rani and she didn’t want to see him again.

And against the advice of his friends, Conor, 30, from Dunboyne unleashed his ‘Golden Retriever energy’ on Hungarian hoola-hooper Daniel, 30.

DATE DISASTER

The pair tried to experiment and ordered some oysters for their starter.

Conor spoke about his OCD and his “tick” and how he was bullied for it in school.

Daniel told Conor his mullet was “sexy” and had him in stitches laughing.

Despite having a lot of fun, the spark wasn’t there for Conor.

ULTIMATE MASHUP

While Wicklow musician Dylan, 25, had a hilarious moment when he walked up to the restaurant and thought the wall was the door.

Mateo Saina came to the rescue to open the door for him.

The giddy “1940’s pinup girl’ Jules, 24, from Portobello.

They quickly realised they both share a birthday with each other, as well as Aretha Franklin and Elton John.

As the coincidences kept coming and they connected over their love for music, the pair were the ultimate mashup.

Alarm bells went off for Jules when Dylan admitted he’s a plain eater as food is her “love language”.

But it didn’t affect her too much and they both wanted to see each other again.
