THE body of a 24-year-old missing dog walker has been tragically discovered in the River Severn after a three day search operation.

Harriet Davies was reported missing from her home in the Diglis area of Worcester on Tuesday morning.

Emergency services launched a major search operation following reports of a person stranded in the River Severn in an area where Harriet regularly walked her dog.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “Sadly, a body has been found during searches of the river in Worcester on Thursday afternoon.

“The body has been identified as that of the 24-year-old woman who was reported missing from her home in Diglis on Tuesday (25 February).

“Her death is not being treated as suspicious.

“Our thoughts are with her family at this incredibly sad time.”
