A 43-year-old bartender, Esi Affumwaa, is in police custody at Assin Wurakese after allegedly biting off a customer’s testicles during a violent confrontation over 20 pesewas.
The victim, identified as 36-year-old Osman, reportedly purchased a cigarette for GH¢1.20 but paid only GH¢1, promising to settle the balance later.
However, when Affumwaa demanded the remaining 20 pesewas, a heated argument ensued, escalating into a physical altercation.
In the course of the fight, Affumwaa allegedly bit off Osman’s testicles, leaving him with severe injuries.
Both individuals were affected by the incident, with Osman receiving medical attention while Affumwaa was taken into police custody for further investigation.
Authorities are yet to release an official statement on the matter as investigations continue.
