Supermarket giant slashes price of Cadbury Easter eggs to just £2.99 – and it’s cheaper than Aldi

CHOCOLATE crazy shoppers are flocking to a huge supermarket to get their hands on cheap Cadbury Easter eggs.

The sweet treats are being flogged for just £2.99 – making the holiday a little more budget friendly.

Creme Egg Easter Eggs are just £2.99 in Asda

As part of the new deal, customers can mix and match any four eggs for just £11.96.

Cadbury Crunchie, Creme Egg, Caramel, Caramilk and Twirl are all up for grabs.

It’s not just Cadbury treats though, there are a mixture of Nestle, Thorntons, Rowntree’s and Mars favourites thrown in for good measure.

As part of Asda’s deal, the Creme Egg Easter egg is just £2.99 if purchased in the mix and match deal.

In Aldi, the same egg is £3.45.

This comes after Sainsbury’s recently dropped prices on Terry’s and Nestle Easter eggs.

Aldi sent shoppers into a spin when they slashed prices on Cadbury Easter choc to as little as £1.45.

The giant 232g Cadbury Mini Eggs Easter egg – which has two packets of Mini Eggs hidden inside, is £4.95 – reduced from £5.99.

Coming in at 12 per cent lower than their normal price, both 96g eggs are perfect options to celebrate Easter Sunday, which this year falls on April 20.

The Buttons egg naturally comes with milk chocolate buttons inside while the Freddo egg has the added bonus of Freddo Faces inside the shell.

But if 97g doesn’t quite suit your sweet tooth, Aldi has also reduced prices on its middle weight eggs.

Cadbury’s 198g Twirl Egg and 195g Cadbury Creme Egg are also both on offer, and have seen their prices drop by a satisfying 11 per cent.

Instead of their usual £3.99 price tags, both eggs are selling for the bargain price of just £3.45.

The Twirl Egg comes with an entire Twirl bar, on top of the egg, while the Creme Egg product comes with the addition of a singular regular Creme Egg.

Going that one step further, Aldi also has discounts available for those not wanting a traditional Easter egg.

It has reduced the price of its pack of five Creme Eggs down to just £2.95.

While this only represents a saving of 2 per cent, the discount is no doubt still a welcome surprise for shoppers – and in the words of it’s supermarket rival, every little helps.
