The man behind the viral brand known for its bold colours, who is also an X Factor boyband reject, has today appeared on So Wrong It’s Right, alongside podcast host and Love Island legend Olivia Attwood, 33.

Chatting to Olivia, who has her own TV show, Getting Filthy Rich, Mitchell, who was sent home from the British talent show during the Bootcamp stage in 2016, shared all on his iconic brand and even got candid on his eye-watering earnings.

When asked, “Is it true that you were the first person to make $1million [£790,000] in one day on TikTok?”, the beauty guru confirmed: “Yeah, crazy.”

Mitchell explained the journey of his business, which has 1.1 million followers on TikTok and is stocked in Boots.

He added: “In business, you think, oh yeah, it’s gotta be sunshine and roses all the time.

“But when it wasn’t, that’s when the best thing that could have happened to the brand happened.

“We were one of the first make-up brands to be on board with TikTok Shop.

“No one had really done anything that was monumental at the time.

“Almost everyone just thought it was a scam.”

Whilst Olivia described Mitchell’s journey as “long and steady”, he confessed: “I then worked with Jeffree Star.”

Thanks to this collaboration with the founder of Jeffree Star Cosmetics, the American make-up mogul who has 7.7 million followers on TikTok, Mitchell beamed: “That really did blow up my career.”

His brand, which features affordable products for the face, eyes, lips and skin, has lip glosses starting at £10 and bundles reaching £96.
