SPLASHDOWN Quaywest, the UK’s biggest outdoor water park, is slated to reopen in April, just in time for the Easter holidays.
Located on the English Riviera, the outdoor water park boasts 8 adrenalin-pumping slides among its 16 splashy attractions.

One of those is the Devil’s Drop where park-goers plunge down a 65ft near-vertical drop and into a black hole run on the highest, fastest flume in the UK.
Meanwhile, the Screamer shoots adrenaline junkies down a steep 60-degree slide.
There’s also the Wild Kamikaze where park-goers descend three steep drops on the 60m-long slide.
Back in 2023, the Devonshire-based water park introduced 3Fall where park-goers race down the slide head first on a mat.
Other water slides at Splashdown Quaywest include 3Fall, Raging Rapids, Surf Lagoon, Sidewinder, Corkscrew and Wet and Wild.
And for younger visitors, there’s Shipwreck Island, which opened in 2024.
The huge play area is home to interactive water features, including a tipping bucket, slides and sprays.
Splashdown Quaywest also has a 20m-long swimming pool, which is the perfect place to unwind on a hot summer‘s day.
There’s also a Sunrise Beach and Snack Shop selling everything from light refreshments to pool inflatables.
For food and drink, there’s an on-site restaurant and an ice-cream counter.

The Devonshire-based water park has been praised by visitors in online reviews, with one person writing: “A fantastic day out, everyone had a great time.”
Another person added: “The slides were very fun and the queues were very short.”
Splashdown Quaywest will reopen to the public on April 18, with entry tickets last year starting from £18 per person for adults and kids over the age of nine.
The huge water park overlooks Goodrington Sands Beach.
Other beaches in the area include Paignton Beach, which is known for its pink sand.
There are plenty of other things to do in the area like Elberry Cove.
Elsewhere in the UK, a huge new ‘beach’ with a giant wave machine and surf lagoon is poised to open at a £50 million water attraction.
Wave Park in Coleshill, Warwickshire is set to be the largest in the UK and boasts a giant wave machine and a 5.4-acre man-made surf lagoon
Meanwhile, Therme Manchester‘s long-awaited opening has been delayed even further.

- Therme Manchester will have 25 swimming pools, 25 water slides and an indoor beach.
- Modern Surf Manchester will be a surfing lagoon offering lessons to both beginners and experts.
- Chessington World of Adventures Waterpark is set to have wave, infinity and spa pools as well as waterslides and cabanas.
- The Cove Resort, Southport is likely to have a water lagoon and a thermal spa with steam rooms and saunas.
- The Seahive, Deal plans to be the “surfing wellness resort” in the UK.
There is also Therme Erding, one of the largest thermal baths in the world which even has an indoor waterpark.
