Suspect Arrested in Redding Vandalism Spree

 

REDDING, Calif. – Police have apprehended a suspect in connection with a vandalism spree that disrupted downtown Redding over the course of two days. The suspect, identified as Kevyn Labbe, was arrested on East Cypress Avenue near Bechelli Lane following an investigation that utilized surveillance footage linking him to multiple incidents of vandalism that occurred on Monday and Tuesday.

During the spree, numerous business and vehicle windows were shattered, and tires were slashed at various locations, including Redding City Hall, Redding Subaru, the Redding Chamber of Commerce, and other businesses in the downtown area.

Authorities report that Labbe has confessed to vandalizing a security business, Redding Subaru, and Redding City Hall. He remains under investigation for his potential involvement in the other vandalism cases.
