Jennifer Queen expresses disappointment over unfair treatment by Akufo-Addo’s inner circle

Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Jennifer Queen, has voiced her frustration over the treatment she and others received from close associates of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo during his tenure.

Speaking in an interview with Kwame Nkrumah Tikese on Okay FM, monitored by Mynewsgh.com, she lamented how difficult it was for party members to access the president, despite their contributions to the party’s success.

“You will meet people with frowning faces and attitudes just because you want to see the president—the same person we are working for. They assume you are coming for money,” she said, expressing her discontent.

She revealed that her visits to the presidency were often to seek scholarships and opportunities for others, yet those assisting her were sometimes victimized.

“When someone helps you meet the president, these same people at the presidency go after them and fight them,” she stated.

Jennifer Queen also highlighted her contributions to the party, stating that many people, both locally and in the diaspora, recognize her efforts.

However, despite her dedication, she claims to have received no benefits from the party in its eight years in power.

“When recruitment slots open, people come to me for help because they are Ghanaians too. But what did I get? Nothing—not a contract, not even a small GH₵5,000 Free Zones project. If anyone can say I was given a market project, a school project, or even a gutter contract, they should prove it,” she said.

Her comments have since sparked discussions about internal party struggles and the treatment of loyalists within the NPP.
