“I just want to throw up”: Blake Lively’s Quote About It Ends With Us Is Disgusting After Demeaning Justin Baldoni, Says Kjersti Flaa

From the very beginning of taking It Ends With Us from Colleen Hoover’s book to the big screen, Justin Baldoni was deeply involved. However, as production moved forward, it became clear that his control over the project was slipping.

Now, fans have a theory, what if Blake Lively’s actions were all part of a calculated plan? Some believe she orchestrated a step-by-step takeover of the film, ultimately hijacking it for herself, and if that was the goal, she seemingly succeeded.

Journalist Kjersti Flaa, who unexpectedly found herself caught in the middle of this drama thanks to her “Congrats on your little bump” interview, has been keeping fans updated on every twist and turn of this case. In her latest video, she revealed that after hearing one of Lively’s recent interview quotes, her immediate reaction was wanting to throw up. So, what exactly did Lively say to cause such a strong reaction?

Blake Lively’s past confession is haunting her now, did she hijack It Ends With Us?

For a while now, internet sleuths, arguably the best detectives out there, have been speculating that Blake Lively‘s supposed feud with Justin Baldoni wasn’t just drama, but a carefully executed plan to take control of It Ends With Us.

The theory gained even more traction when an old interview of Lively resurfaced, where she openly admitted to having a habit of doing just that. During the Forbes Power Women’s Summit in 2022, Lively was seen revealing pretty daming details saying that some of her past coworkers have “resented” hiring her just as an actor. She explained further,

When I went into meetings, I would just seem like I’m just there to be the actor and ready to get the gig, I wouldn’t reveal that I actually need to have authorship in order to feel fulfilled. So I think that for them, sometimes that might have felt like a rug pulled because you’re like, you’re trying to assert yourself into something that we didn’t hire you to do

She further explained,

It’s just as important to say, ‘OK, um, I believe in this and that’s why I’m standing up for it and that’s why I’m not being difficult, And then there are other moments to go, ‘Am I the a–hole in the room?’ It’s about being up front about knowing what you actually need versus just, like, trying to get the job and then, you know, once you’re in it, sort of revealing the scope of your, sort of um, your needs to be, you know, fulfilled

According to her own words, this is exactly very evidently the same approach Blake Lively allegedly took on the set of It Ends With Us as well. Reports suggest she wasn’t just acting, she was demanding to see the dailies, rewriting and adjusting scenes to fit her own vision, and attempting to override the director’s authority any chance she got (all alleged).

It’s also been claimed that she used her influence, nay her “dragons, to pressure Baldoni into saying yes to things. Allegedly, she also brought in her own editors, and her own composer, and tried to reshape the film in every possible way. As well as thereanent Sony that she and her cast would not promote or even walk away if her demands were not met, anytime things didn’t go her way

Of course, for legal reasons, all of this remains alleged (even though plenty of behind-the-scenes whispers suggest there’s truth to it). But if these claims hold any weight, it would mean Lively didn’t just plan to act in It Ends With Us.

Kjersti Flaa is disgusted by Blake Lively’s behind-the-scenes moves on It Ends With Us!

The Hollywood Reporter isn’t holding back, they’re outright calling this Blake Lively’s coup “in their latest article, detailing how Sony found itself caught in the crossfire of her feud with Justin Baldoni.

For the studio, this wasn’t just behind-the-scenes drama, it was a multi-million-dollar headache that turned what should have been a smooth production into an absolute rollercoaster.

To emphasize just how chaotic things got, Baldoni’s amended complaint reveals a shocking moment, Sony allegedly told his production company, Wayfarer, that unless Lively’s version of the film was used, neither she nor the rest of the cast would promote it. That left Baldoni with two impossible choices, either scrap the film entirely or step down as director and let Lively take over. According to his court filings, he ultimately felt he had no choice but to walk away from his own movie.

Speaking on the situation, Kjersti Flaa brought up a Variety interview where Blake Lively detailed the amount of work she put into the movie. Before even reading it, Flaa said (via YouTube),

I saw the quote she did, I think it was in Variety just after the movie was released, and when I read this quote, I just wanted to, like, throw up. I just get so angry with what she has actually done because I didn’t understand the complete scope of it before I read this article [THR] today

In the Variety interview, Lively stated,

It was so important to me to work off camera, The work I did as a producer was far more all-consuming than anything I did playing Lily. I just did it all. There’s nothing I didn’t touch on this film. It took my love, it took my passion, it took my time, it took my fortitude and dedication, and it took my sleep, Because of that, I’ve never had so much authorship in my life. I walk into this premiere with such pride for what we did. I can walk away for the first time saying, ‘I’ve put everything I have into this, and I’m proud of it.’ It’s one of the greatest gifts of my life, and definitely my career.

To put things in perspective, this quote now looks even worse, especially considering everything that has come to light about Lively allegedly taking over the film.

To add more, even after pressuring Sony to use her cut, she wasn’t allegedly done. Reports claim Lively pushed Sony to have Wayfarer submit letters to the PGA (Producers Guild of America), highlighting all the work she had done, at the time, her name was under the title executive producer.

But this isn’t the end either. It’s also being said that she had Baldoni’s name erased from marketing materials, and asked to revoke his “film by” credit as well. This was especially evident on the official movie poster plastered everywhere…
