Beauty lover Kaylee Rae, who posts under @kaylee.rae24, shared how you simply need to sharpen them using a nail file.
She wrote on Twitter: “Things I learned on this app.
“Your tweezers aren’t trash, they’re just dull.
“You can sharpen them again with a nail file.”
The beauty fan added: “They need to be able to grip the hair instead of slipping.”
Kaylee demonstrated how you can clamp your tweezers around the end of your nail file and rub them sideways so they become less blunt.
In seconds they were restored to be like new.
Her video has racked up a staggering 115,000 likes and people seemed impressed at the useful and free tip.
One said: “Thank you for teaching me one more thing on here.”
Another added: “One more thing I learnt on tik tok.”
And a third commented: “I thought I was the only one to do this.”
But what do the experts say?
The Lash Professionals, which is run by lash artist Vanessa Molica, wrote: “ You might find yourself wondering, Can you sharpen tweezers?
“The short answer: Yes, you can!
“Over time, tweezers can lose their precision due to frequent use and regular cleaning and disinfecting processes that wear down the tips.

All you need to do is use a nail file to sharpen it back up[/caption]
“When this happens, the tips may not align perfectly, making it difficult to grip and isolate lashes effectively.
“Take a fine-grit nail file or emery board and gently rub the inside edges of the tweezer tips to refine them. Check alignment frequently to avoid over-sharpening.”
She added that you can alternatively use a Tweezers Sharpening Stone or sandpaper to achieve the same effect.
However, the experts advised that it’s time to chuck your old tweezers when they have rusted or are severely misaligned.
