Residents of Owuraku, a suburb of Adoagyiri in the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipality of the Eastern Region, were left in shock earlier today after discovering the lifeless body of a man believed to be in his 40s near a football field.
The victim was found with severe head injuries, prompting suspicions of foul play.
Upon the discovery, residents quickly alerted community leaders, who in turn contacted the Ghana Police Service.
The body was retrieved and has been deposited at a morgue as investigations into the suspected murder begin.
Speaking to Adom News, residents have said the incident has deeply shocked and traumatised them, with many expressing fear and concern over safety in the area.
