In fact, its latest episode featured a cameo from Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan.
The Everything Everywhere All At Once star, 53, voiced “Kenny”, who viewers hear over the phone.
Earlier the story, Timothy (Jason Isaacs) is reached out to by journalists enquiring about a shady financial situation he may have been involved in years ago.
He then leaves former business partner Kenny a voicemail – and in the following episode, Kenny, voiced by Quan, calls him back.
The two characters share a profane, frantic conversation revealing their past history.
Angry at being caught up in “some money laundering bribery situation”, Timothy fumed: “You told me this couldn’t happen. You f*****g swore that this couldn’t happen.”
To which Kenny responded: “I didn’t think some whistleblower b***h in my office was going to rat me out to the media and the f*****g FBI.”
The scene ended with Timothy vowing: “I swear to god, Kenny, if you f**k me on this, I will kill you. I will f*****g kill you, you hear me?”
However, Ke Huy Quan’s name does not appear in the episode credits or on IMDb.
One fan wrote on X: “Is that Ke Huy Quan??!! #TheWhiteLotus.”
Another added: “I know for sure that was Ke Huy Quan.”
The actor first rose to prominence in the 80s – with starring roles in two major films.
In 1984, he starred as “Short Round” opposite Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom.
A year later, Quan took on the role of Data in children’s classic The Goonies.
Although he continued acting until 2002, the star later embarked on a 19-year hiatus.
He first returned to acting in 2021 Netflix film Finding ‘Ohana.
However, his performance as Waymond Wang in Everything Everywhere All at Once ended up being highly acclaimed.
It won Quan the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor, as well as a Golden Globe.
Later, he starred opposite Tom Hiddleston in the Marvel Comics TV series Loki.
