There are many characters in the Dragon Ball franchise who possess unique abilities that are borderline terrifying. Of them, Majin Buu can be seen as a diabolical villain turned good guy. Many times, the fans have been happy that Buu was on the side of the Z fighters instead of being against them.
With DAIMA bringing back the lore of Buu and artificial demon creations, this sparks an interest in the enigmatic bubblegum being. Buu has always been withdrawn in the recent Dragon Ball arcs.
But with the interplay of many unpredictable forces, is there a chance of Buu evolving through countless forms and abilities? But what if he could take things even further?
God Ki could make Buu one of Dragon Ball’s strongest beings
Buu’s the definition of gluttony and devours seemingly everything, be it grass, mud, stone, people, or Kamehamehas. Buu eats them all and digests them to grow stronger. A new theory suggests that Buu could unlock God Ki, tapping into a power level that could rival even Goku’s Ultra Instinct.
Given his past absorption of the Grand Supreme Kai and South Supreme Kai in Dragon Ball, and transformed into Innocent Buu. So, his harnessing God Ki is not a far-off speculation but a natural progressive step in his evolution.
There were many situations when the Z fighters faced off against Buu, and Buu evolved to use the same abilities or become immune to certain attacks completely. This means that he should logically be capable of absorbing the abilities and energies within the Supreme Kais.
Innocent Buu continues to show Grand Supreme Kai’s spirit and influence within him throughout his development arc, and later, he even becomes Mr. Satan’s friend. After becoming Mr. Satan’s friend, he learns the error of his murderous ways and decides to renounce his killing ways.
This is what leads him to split off his evil side and become a being of good. Grand Supreme Kai continued to exist through Good Buu, peacefully and being a protector of the Earth.
Buu could become an invincible warrior
What is interesting is that Supreme Kais naturally possess God Ki, and remnants of this energy might still exist within Buu. It is just that the myriad energies of the world are all on a different level than God Ki. This means that Buu might not have understood the way to utilize God Ki properly..
While he hasn’t displayed divine power in any way, there is no doubt that the Grand Supreme Kai’s influence lingers, and so should his power. Buu is a being capable of evolving limitlessly, essentially making him a terrifying being capable of destroying and refining the entire universe.
If Buu were to train under Beerus or Whis, he could evolve to use this energy and develop a completely new transformation, letting him ascend to the level of some of the strongest warriors in Dragon Ball Super.
This form could be God Buu or God Ki Buu. Buu’s regenerative abilities are further strengthened, and his durability and endless stamina make him a fearsome, almost invincible opponent. The potential upgrades if he is capable of utilizing God Ki include instantaneous regeneration.
Buu could reach the level of regenerating from a single part of himself that he hides somewhere. Buu can already devour and strengthen, but he can now refine God Ki and divine energy, elevating his power level further. Beerus could teach him how to use destruction energy, unlike Vegeta, it would be instinctual for an evolved God Ki Buu.
