Christina Ricci Alludes to Working ‘Mid Miscarriages’ in a Vulnerable New Post

Pregnancy loss is devastating, not least of all because of the stigma surrounding it. Christina Ricci is spreading awareness about miscarriage as she seemingly revealed that she has experienced it herself — and had to continue working through it.

The Yellowjackets star shared a resurfaced 2018 clip of Halsey giving a speech at the Blossom Ball, explaining how they had to take “a Percocet and put on an adult incontinence diaper” and go on stage to perform while experiencing a miscarriage. In the video, Halsey said, per Buzzfeed, “part of being a woman and dealing with reproductive health is being treated like you’re not a human” and “like you’re a robot and you’re supposed to wake up every day and get over it.”

Ricci shared the clip of Halsey on her Instagram story recently, writing in a caption, “QVC and campaign shoots mid miscarriages. So fun being a girl.” (Buzzfeed has a screenshot HERE.)

The Wednesday actress, who is mom to son Freddie, 10, with ex James Heerdegen, and daughter Cleopatra, 3, with husband Mark Hampton, didn’t share more details about when she had a miscarriage. We can’t imagine how incredibly hard that experience must have been!

Ricci has been open about the difficulties of working while pregnant, though. She revealed that she was six weeks pregnant when she began filming Yellowjackets season 2. “It was difficult. There were so many times where I was like, ‘Ooh, when they find out I’m pregnant, and they made me sit in this smoky room all day. When they realize that they made me stand for eight hours, and I’m pregnant, and I have this horrible sciatica, and it’s 100 degrees, oh, they’re going to feel so bad,’” she told The Hollywood Reporter.

One thing’s for sure: women are so incredibly strong!

These other famous parents have been open about suffering miscarriages.
