MUIR LOOKS
“Because this is a small industry, we are a small country. Getting things commissioned and on the telly in the first place is unbelievable.”
Last year, Ireland AM took home the Entertainment Award for their groundbreaking AI special, which saw the show’s script become AI-driven back in December 2023.
However, their beloved hit morning show wasn’t nominated in any category this year.
Muireann weighed in on the competitiveness, saying: “So [there’s] genuine excitement for the people that win but also a little bit of, ‘Ah feck, I thought I was going to beat you’.
“I’m already hearing people in categories together going, ‘We know we’re not gonna win, we know you’re gonna win, but I think we’re better than you’. It’s fun!”
Eric joked about the “side eyes” he noticed around the room and added: “You’re hosting, you’re not going to say but I’m gonna say – there’s a lot of rivalry going on here guys.”
