For one who first gained fame through his unconventional YouTube clips, MrBeast didn’t take long to be ranked among the most influential people of all time. Since then, he has launched quite a few ventures about numerous different things, and while some of them garnered him controversy and backlash, some others garnered him acclaim too.
That said, he recently brainstormed to come up with a whole new idea to gain a spot under the limelight once again: Per reports, he is currently working on one million dollars worth novel with James Patterson, the author famous for his mystery pieces of realistic fiction. And as the reports have it, it sounds a lot like another Hunger Games movie.

MrBeast and James Patterson are reportedly working on a novel together
Of all the new things he could pull, the latest idea to have popped into the mastermind businessman MrBeast, aka Jimmy Donaldson, was to write a novel. And that’s not all, because he won’t be curating this one alone. Per reports, he has taken the help of the author renowned for his young adult fiction, thriller, and sci-fi mystery books, James Patterson.
According to Deadline, Patterson, one of the world’s highest-grossing authors, and Donaldson, YouTube’s biggest star, have really joined forces to pen this thriller novel. Not to mention, this piece reportedly has shades of Squid Game, with its logline reading: “Players fight to survive deadly tests held in dangerous locations around the world, as they battle to become ‘The One’.”

Currently, the said book’s title hasn’t been officially confirmed, with a source claiming it was going under the title The Most Dangerous Game. But Deadline reports that other titles are under consideration as well. Additionally, the film, TV, and novel rights are being discussed, with insider sources saying “eight-figure offers” are reportedly being fielded for the publishing rights.
If that wasn’t enough, Deadline has also reported to have heard that there is an accompanying nonfiction book in the package as well. With all of these details being reported, it can’t be denied that this upcoming novel from the YouTuber sounds eerily similar to one along the themes of a Hunger Games story. But what it actually is remains to be seen with the official release of the same.
Fans react to reports about MrBeast and James Patterson’s joint novel

While the fact that MrBeast decided to team up with a novelist, who is famous for raking in millions of dollars through his commendably famous books like the Alex Cross novels, is stunning in itself, what’s even more surprising to fans is the reported fact that this piece already seems to have raged a bidding war in eight figures—which, needless to say, is not an ordinary thing.
Thus said, fans and netizens have unhesitatingly been having some of the most hilarious responses as they react sarcastically to this exclusive new content soon to be made available by the brainbox YouTuber. Taking to X to comment on the same and roast the controversial figure, here’s what they have to say:
The real thriller is how this got an 8-figure deal before a single page was written

Would be really sick if they named it something like ‘Squid Games’ or something

Well, Donaldson may have succeeded in his attempt to once again gain worldwide attention for his antics by announcing a novel made through a team-up with one of the most prolific authors, but all of these fan comments are making it evident that, unless the novel is genuinely good, it may as well not receive as much fame and appreciation as he expects it to.
But, then again, he has worked on it with Patterson, so how bad could it possibly be?
