2024 was an incredible year for Xbox users, but it also marked a huge step forward for the brand as it relinquished its platform exclusivity. Microsoft decided to port some of Xbox’s first-party games to rival consoles such as PS5 and Nintendo Switch to secure the long-term health of the brand.
Gamers have been busy wondering which Xbox game would now make its way to the PlayStation. Fortunately, it’s been confirmed that the Xbox exclusive Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is finally coming to PS5. It’s high time for Sony to return the favor and bring Helldivers 2 to Xbox, at the very least.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle gets a PS5 release date
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was developed by MachineGames and debuted on PC and the Xbox Series S/X in December 2024. No one in their wildest dreams could have predicted the success the title would go on to achieve. Not only did it manage to reach over four million in just a month, but its reviews were very positive.
Initially, it was revealed that the Great Circle would be a time-exclusive for Xbox, with a PS5 version not coming until Spring 2025. While fans were hyped, they were still waiting to hear exactly when they would get to play the game on the Sony console. Fortunately, their prayers have been answered as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will arrive on PS5 on April 17th.

If you’re a die-hard Indy fan, it might be worth checking out the pre-order bonuses for the Great Circle‘s PS5 debut. Pre-ordering will get you The Last Crusade pack that brings Indy’s Travelling Suit outside alongside Lion Tamer Whip cosmetics.
On the other hand, the Premium Edition for the Great Circle will allow two days of early access, the upcoming DLC, the Temple of Doom outfit, a digital art book, and a special cover. What’s really interesting is that this version will also include a physical disc, something you don’t see often anymore.
It’s high time Sony took note of Microsoft’s commitment towards gamers and end the exclusivity barriers. The company must start porting out its own exclusives to Xbox and Nintendo Switch as it would allow for newer audiences and increased revenue.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle‘s upcoming DLC
Now that we finally have a release date for the Great Circle on PS5, all eyes are now on its future. While MachineGames has been constantly updating the title and ironing out issues, there’s a DLC right around the corner.
That’s right, the Great Circle does have a single DLC for its post-launch called Order of Giants. Unfortunately, MachineGames hasn’t really stated much about it. The only thing we know is that it’s set to explore some myths that were revealed in the Vatican and the hidden history of Rome.
Therefore, it’s time for you to double-check everything that was present in the Vatican. There’s a theory that suggests that the DLC will dive into the Nephilim Order that was introduced in the game but wasn’t explored. If that ends up happening, it would definitely be an exciting adventure for Indy.
Let’s hope MachineGames or Bethesda can finally shed some more light on Order of Giants and give us a proper release date.
