One Piece: Robin’s Lack of Haki Makes Zero Sense When You Realize Oda Traumatized Her With Logia Users for Years

The archaeologist of the Straw Hat Pirates, Nico Robin might be one of the most interesting characters in the entire One Piece storyline. Her connection to Ohara and her ability to read the ancient text on the poneglyphs makes her the biggest target of the World Government and also other enemies, who are consistently trying to imprison her.

What One Piece fans fail to notice is that most of the people who are after Nico Robin or have hurt her have the power of the Logia Devil Fruit, the strongest category. Thus, ideally, it would have made sense for Eiichiro Oda to give her a dangerous power-up that could not only help her deal with these enemies but also increase the overall strength of the Straw Hat Pirates.

For a long time many One Piece fans assumed that Robin would be able to unlock her Haki abilities that mixed with her Devil Fruit powers makes her extremely dangerous. But Oda never really focused much on Robin’s ability to deal with her enemies and this makes fans fear for her life in One Piece.

Logia Devil Fruit users have always traumatized Nico Robin

Nico Robin might be the only One Piece character, who has been consistently on the run and has suffered the most amount of pain and loss. First, she lost her family and her village, and then she had to keep herself safe from the Marines who were hunting her like wild dogs. As she grew older, she had no choice but to join Crocodile, who also literally stabbed her in the back.

Finally, she got a little relief when she joined the Straw Hat Pirates, but even after that, the Marines kept coming after her and other One Piece villains targeted her. But a common pattern between them was that most of them were Logia Devil Fruit users, who are on a completely different level in terms of strength and ability in One Piece.

Akainu, Crocodile, Aokiji, Enel, and Monet, are all Logia Devil Fruit users that Nico Robin has encountered and has been hurt by them in the One Piece storyline. Despite that, she has managed to somehow survive with the help of her crewmates, and hopefully, she will someday get free from all these struggles in her life.

Nico Robin not unlocking Haki makes zero sense

Out of all the Straw Hat Pirates who need a power-up right now in One Piece, Nico Robin might not be the top priority, but considering her significance in the final saga, it is safe to assume that she will need it desperately. As she has already awakened her Devil Fruit powers in Wano, the only thing that would make sense for her is unlocking Haki abilities, even the most basic ones.

She even had a chance to learn Haki when she was with the Revolutionary Army during the time skip.

As they are one of the strongest forces in One Piece, they could have easily helped her reach her potential in terms of Haki, but for some reason, Eiichiro Oda completely ignored it and has not hinted towards it yet.

The ongoing journey is already dangerous enough and it is only going to get even more threatening. Thus, Oda really needs to leave whatever reason he has for not powering up Robin aside and make her strong. Because her skills as an archaeologist will be the most important thing in figuring out the One Piece treasure and the secrets of the One Piece world.
