On top of this, recently, we got an update about Solo Leveling that created a new kind of buzz among fans. Chugong, the creator of the Solo Leveling web novel, hinted that he is planning something big for the franchise.
So, what can this new update be about? Will we get an announcement about a new season, a spin-off about a beloved character from the series, or perhaps we will get an update that Solo Leveling: Ragnarok will also be animated in the future.
Chugong’s cryptic message about Solo Leveling
The Solo Leveling franchise is extremely good at making fans stay hooked on their work and leaving them devastated with a cliffhanger later. Needless to say, the last episode of season 2 will also end in such a way that it will make us miss Jinwoo’s world even more.
Thankfully, now that there is an update from the creator of Solo Leveling himself, we can rest assured that we will not be left stranded for long. On DC Inside, a South Korean internet forum, Chugong directly addressed fans and commented,
I think good news will start to spread from the middle of this year.
There is definitely a high chance that we will get an announcement regarding the release of season 3, as then, the series can be released exactly 1 year later from its second season. This makes sense because this is also the release pattern that season 2 followed.

Apart from that, there is also a possibility that we might get a spin-off about any one of the characters from the series. Hopefully, it will be Igris because his popularity is definitely something that can make a standalone adaptation a huge success.
What can be the future of Solo Leveling?
We will certainly want an announcement for a new season as soon as possible, but Solo Leveling Season 3 can face production delays. One of the most important issues behind this is the extremely packed schedule of Aleks Le, the English voice actor of Jinwoo. He will also be busy with Dandadan, Demon Slayer, and other projects in the future.
Plus, as this update is coming directly from the web novel artist himself, we might get news regarding the official sequel to Solo Leveling, which is Solo Leveling: Ragnarok. This webtoon follows the story of Jinwoo’s son, Suho, and it is equally exhilarating.
However, as Jinwoo’s story is yet to conclude, Ragnarok might not get an animation this soon.
Whatever the scenario is, one thing is certain: fans are eagerly waiting for any and every update from Solo Leveling. It does not really matter what comes from the creator, as whatever it is, it will be welcomed with open arms.
