Brian Austin Green and Machine Gun Kelly: A Timeline of their Feud

There’s no love lost between Megan Fox’s ex-husband, Brian Austin Green, and her on-again, off-again fiancé Machine Gun Kelly. The two men have been going at it publicly since late 2024 when MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker, and pregnant Fox broke up again (this time seemingly for good).

“Their relationship is so full of passion and that leads them to get back together over and over, but also to fight in the most toxic of ways,” an insider told Us Weekly exclusively in December 2024. “Their fights have gotten less intense now that MGK is sober, but they still have such a hard time having a stable relationship with each other.”

“They were trying to make it work again after the pregnancy, but they are both too hot-headed and fell back into their constant fighting,” the insider added. “They can’t get on the same page and it’s not easy for them being together.”

Around the same time, Green told MGK to “grow up” before Fox gives birth to the pair’s first baby.

How MGK and Megan Fox Are Coping With Split Amid Pregnancy

Tempers were flaring again in March 2025 when Green shared direct messages, apparently from MGK, deriding Green as “mr child actor” and telling him to “go back to cereal commercials.”

Green and Fox married in 2010 and split in 2021. They share children Noah, Bodh and Journey. (MGK, for his part, is dad to 15-year-old daughter Casie, whom he welcomed in a previous relationship.)

Despite the close proximity between their split and the beginning of Fox’s relationship with MGK, Green has made it clear there was no overlap in the relationships.

“Neither one of us did anything to each other. She’s always been honest with me. I’ve always been honest with her,” he explained on a 2020 episode of his “…With Brian Austin Green” podcast. “We’ve had an amazing relationship. I will always love her. And I know she will always love me and I know as far as a family, what we have built is really cool and really special.”

He added that he knew Fox and MGK met on the set of 2021 movie Midnight in the Switchgrass but they weren’t separating “because somebody cheated.”

December 2024

After Green learned that MGK and Fox had broken up, the actor had some harsh words for him.

“He’s in his 30s right?” he asked a TMZ reporter of MGK. “But in your 30s, I don’t know, grow up. Like, you know she’s pregnant.”

“I just want the best for her,” Green added. “I want the best for the baby. I want the best for our kids.”

Green posted a screenshot via his Instagram Story of MGK calling out an article written about the rapper’s relationship with Fox.

“Bro. Just be honest for once in your life,” Green wrote in his story. “Stop caring so much about how you’re perceived that you will try and drag other people.”

A few days later, Green opened up in an interview with People, where he said that moving forward, he was “going to shut up and just sit back.”

“That’s not something that I normally do,” he said in the interview, published February 6, “but it just really at the time, really got under my skin to read about his sort of take on it. So I spoke my mind, but then I’ve since come to terms with the fact that I won’t do that anymore.”

March 2025

Green’s vow to “just sit back” lasted until the next month when he shared direct messages allegedly from MGK via his Instagram Story in which MGK appeared to go after Green. (Us Weekly has reached out to MGK’s team for comment.)

“Stop asking when our child is gonna born. You the FEDS,” one message read. “Quit calling TMZ and focus on that apology you owe me for speaking on my name in public.”

The message continued, “You chose the wrong one to f— with mr child actor. Go back to cereal commercials.”

Green appeared to take the insult in stride, writing over the screenshot, “I didn’t know ‘child actor’ was something bad. Leo [DiCaprio], careful. He may be coming for you next.”
