The United Kingdom government has published a list of unclaimed estates belonging to 5,806 deceased individuals, including 58 Nigerians.
These estates are classified as “Bona Vacantia,” meaning they currently have no valid claimants and, by law, become property of the Crown.

The list includes their personal details such as names, dates of birth and death, marital status, and locations of death, and official reference numbers.
Under UK law, these estates remain claimable for 30 years before becoming permanent Crown property.
Potential heirs are encouraged to contact the Bona Vacantia division with legal documents proving their familial connection to the deceased.
