Join the Lifesaving Mission at Greenville Community Blood Drive March 28

Organizers announce that the Greenville-Indian Valley community blood drive, sponsored by the Greenville Rotary Club, is set for Friday, March 28, from noon to 4:30 p.m. in the high school library, Room 201, located at 117 Grand St. in Greenville.

There continues to be a critical shortage of blood, says Sherilyn Schwartz, the event coordinator: “Blood donations are essential for hospitals and to respond to emergencies. Donations make life-changing impacts. Several lives can be saved from a single pint of blood donation.”

In keeping with tradition, homemade soups and cookies provide a heartfelt thank-you for supporting the lifesaving cause, say organizers. Greenville Rotary volunteer LeeAnne Schramel assures everyone that the soups will be tasty and hardy.

Appointments after 2 p.m. are available with the last at 4:15, but walk-ins are accepted. Those interested can choose one of these options to book an appointment:

  • Call Schwartz at 530-284-1055.
  • Visit nonprofit Vitalant.org and search for blood drive code N1GVC.

More information is available from Schwartz at the provided number.
