Of the many intriguing characters in Dragon Ball, one of the most unique settings belongs to Broly, the Legendary Super Saiyan. Originally a part of the non-canon installments in the franchise, Broly managed to worm his way into both the franchise and the hearts of the fans.
Although Broly has been canon for a while, he has not been seen in Dragon Ball Super (other than in the movies). This means that the only Saiyans that abound at the core of the narrative are the Z fighters.
But if there was a way to get Broly to reenter the scene of Dragon Ball Super, then he definitely needs to power-up. This is because Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan have all surpassed the need to rely on their bloodlines and unlocked newer transformations. It is only right that Broly gets one, too.
Broly needs to power up to make a grand entry
Broly has always been the wild card of Dragon Ball, possessing an overwhelming strength that surpasses most Saiyans. His starting point and origins are unique, making him much more talented and suited for combat than other Saiyans.
However, Broly’s biggest flaw has always been his inability to control that power. Legendary Super Saiyan means the most primal (and perfect) form that can be achieved by the Saiyan race. It is a once-in-a-millennia anomaly.
Goku and Vegeta are both pure-blooded Saiyans, but not in the way that Broly is. The duo is already so strong, but Broly could get double the results with half the work if he trained due to his natural inclination and talents.
The ante has been upped; the level is reaching that of cosmic invaders, Angels, and Gods of Destruction. Broly was strong, without a doubt, but only at the mortal level. To become relevant in the series, he needs to transform and scale in power.
Only then will he be able to match Goku and Vegeta with their Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego forms? If Dragon Ball Super develops Broly, his next logical transformation could be a new form called ‘Berserker Blue’ (the name could be anything, really).

Broly is the perfect choice for a fusion of his Legendary Super Saiyan state with the god ki of Super Saiyan Blue. This form would grant Broly the perfect balance between his raw and primal strength (from his Saiyan heritage) and the refined control of godly energy.
Such a form could allow him to challenge even Goku’s Ultra Instinct and Vegeta’s Ultra Ego. With a massive increase in powers ( not to mention his endurance), he could put up a good fight. The only problem is how he will learn to control god ki (and his impulses).
Broly is the closest to a primal being, so whenever he gets angry, everything goes red, and he loses control. His beastial nature takes over. If he was in a state as powerful as the Berserker Blue that we have mentioned, then this might mean a lot of havoc and chaos for the cosmos.
But with training and adaptation, and Broly’s natural inclination as a fighter, he could not only control himself but also become able to instinctively harness god ki. It would blend with his primal strength to create a fearsome monster that Goku and Vegeta have to bring to their side, the good side.
