Logan and Jake Paul know a thing or two about being a controversial pair of brothers.
However, when it came time for the promo shoot for their new Max reality series Paul American, which premiered Thursday, March 27, the social media stars-turned-combat sports phenoms wondered if they were drawing too close comparisons to another set of salacious siblings.
Logan, 29, walked up to Jake, 28, carrying a pair of boxer briefs covered in the American flag and asked, “Is this a little erotic, bro? We’re both in these. At what point did we go from being brothers to lovers?”
“It might be too much,” Jake said. “Are you fully shirtless?”

Logan shook his head, but Jake pondered if maybe they were missing an opportunity.
“I’m just saying, people loved the Menendez brothers show,” Jake added.
Logan laughed and responded, “Oh, shut the f— up.”
Jake, of course, was referring to the 2024 Netflix limited series Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, which told the real-life story of the brothers who killed their parents in August 1989 and are still currently serving time in prison.
Netflix’s fictionalized version of events, produced by Ryan Murphy, portrays the brothers’ relationship as often overtly erotic, including one scene where they kiss each other on the lips. (There is no evidence and Lyle and Erik ever had a sexual relationship..)
As for Logan and Jake, the duo opted for a series of poolside-themed images for the photoshoot, which included their parents, Greg and Pam, Logan’s fiancée, Nina Agdal, and Jake’s now-fiancée, Jutta Leerdam, who are all featured on the reality series.
In between photo set-ups, Pam, 61, told her sons she was “very emotional” about everything.
“I don’t know. It’s just, like, really fun,” Pam explained. “You guys created all this.”
As for Agdal, who gave birth to her and Logan’s first baby in September 2024, the supermodel, 33, expressed some reservations about putting the Paul family in front of the cameras.

“Let’s see how it all plays out,” she said during the episode. “Obviously there’s going to be a lot of airtime for their thoughts and feelings. I’m sure there’s going to be plenty of s— that’s gonna be taken the wrong way.”
Regardless, Logan joked that there might not be any viewers to worry about in the first place.
“Ratings and numbers-wise, I think the show is going to f—ing tank, to be honest with you,” he said straight to camera “Who the f— is watching this s—?”
