There are only a few places where I’ll drop anything and everything for the chance to go, and one of them is Walt Disney World. What can I say? The Most Magical Place on Earth holds a special place in my heart like no other. But now that I’m no longer a Florida resident, going to the House of Mouse is a lot more expensive, and I’m not even talking about the park tickets (although those are pretty pricey, too).
One of the main reasons why a Disney World vacation can get so expensive is finding a place to stay. Unless you book out months or a year in advance, hotel prices on and off the resort property can get crazy high. And if you are able to find a cheap deal, it might be because it’s not the nicest room out there. Now, we know most people go to Disney to spend most of the time at the parks, but after a long, scorchingly hot day walking around, the last thing you should want to do is lay your head in a not-so-great 2.5-star hotel room. Trust me, I did that during my last trip, and I regret it. This is why I’m getting an Airbnb this year, and so should you.
