In a genre that is primarily known for its films, war television shows find themselves considerably outnumbered. However, while the vast majority of them may not bear the same level of prestige or notoriety as cinema’s best war movies, that’s not to say that there aren’t shows that can’t hold a candle to their silver-screen counterparts. This also applies to the performances within the show itself, whether the actor in question is portraying a real-life military hero or a fictional soldier.
