Jennifer Lopez and her child Emme arrived in style for a big Broadway extravaganza! The duo were seen attending opening night of Othello on Sunday, March 23, the play starring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal.
Jennifer, 55, and Emme, 17, posed for photos on the red carpet ahead of the opening performance at the Barrymore Theatre in New York City. The “On the Floor” hitmaker bared her midriff in a two piece set from designer Zuhair Murad featuring a high neck and jeweled detailing. She accessorized with a black cropped fur coat, black platform heels and a black clutch purse.
Emme wore a pinstriped suit with a gray shirt underneath, a black and white plaid tie and black shoes. They also accessorized the look with some jewelry and wore black framed glasses.
In addition to Emme, J. Lo also share’s Emme’s twin, Max, with ex-husband Marc Anthony, whom the songstress was married to from 2004 to 2014.
Emme and Max recently celebrated their 17th birthday, with Jennifer sharing a sweet tribute to her kids on the special day. “Seventeen. I love you beyond forever,” the mom of two captioned her February 22 Instagram post.
The post featured a video montage of her spending time with her kiddos from when they were little to now, including clips from behind the scenes of photo shoots, backstage at past performances and fun memories at home. Jennifer adorably gave her kids kisses in one of the throwback clips featured in the post. Other scenes featured the trio on a tire swing during a photo shoot.
Jennifer’s sweet post dedicated to the twins came just days after Marc, 56, made some rare comments about the twins and watching his kids grow up.
“If you learned anything after all these year, is whatever they want, whatever they say,” the “Vivir Mi Vida” singer told E! News on March 14.
In addition to Emme and Max, Marc also shares kids Arianna, Chase, Cristian and Ryan with previous partners, and son Marco with wife Nadia Ferreira.
“No, they’re wonderful,” he said of his kids. “I have a wonderful family, a wonderful wife — Marquito is a year and a half. I’m just enjoying this stage of my life.”
Jennifer also opened up about raising her children and how Emme and Max are both very honest when it comes to giving her feedback on her work over the years.
“I think kids are like kind of wrapped up in their own lives a bit, but if you ask them, they will give you their honest opinion about everything, you know what I mean?” J. Lo told E! News in January. “They’re ready to be brutally honest with you at times.”
But she wouldn’t have it any other way, as Jennifer values her kids’ strong opinions about her work.
“I like my kids to see my work and know what I’m doing, and I’ll share certain things with them and say, ‘What do you think of this?’ or, ‘What do you think of that?’ And they always have an interesting perspective, because they’re from a different generation,” Jennifer revealed.
